The town of Grand Falls-Windsor's Senior hockey fame grew once again this weekend... The GFW Cataracts won a record-setting 15th Provincial Senior 'A' Herder Championship, with an exciting overtime victory against the visiting East coast Representative Southern Shore Breakers at the historic Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium. LONG HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE It was back in 1953, with Joe Byrne, no less, as one of the members of that first winning team, that the Grand Falls All Stars won the town's first Herder.
